Synopsis of Meeting Held
Saturday, March 8, 2008, 9:05 am

The meeting was called to order by President Santangelo at the home of Vicki Atkins.  A quorum was established with the following present:  Vicki Atkins, Sandra Lynch, Mark McQuiller, Joan Rust, Joseph Santangelo and Jeanie Tamborello.

Spring Fling Committee.  Jeanie Tamborello was given approval to purchase koozie cups w/ the Isla logo to be given to those in attendance at the Spring Fling.  Jeanie then left the meeting.  Sandra Lynch reported that lunch will be served following the Annual Meeting at 1 pm in the boat launch parking area.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, dessert and soft drinks will be served.  RSVP is needed to isla-rsvp@comcast.net.

The Minutes from the December 8, 2007 meeting were reviewed and approved.  The Financials were presented, reviewed and approved.

The Marsh Restoration Project has officially ended.  All promised match money has been received and accounted for on the Income Statement.  Artist Boat will do a second grass planting on Friday, March 14, 2008.  A Certificate of Insurance has been received from Artist Boat.

Grounds and Maintenance.  Bids are being secured at this time to repaint and re-stain all wood surfaces within Isla del Sol, i.e. fishing pier, mailbox cover, wood railings.  A non-skid surface will also be applied in the jet ski launch area.  Sign replacement is underway as part of the painting project.

ACC Committee and Deed Restrictions.  Sandra reported that two new homes are underway in Isla.  She also reported that some of Isla’s Deed Restrictions are in conflict with revised city, state and insurance codes.  All will be brought up to date.

Garage Sale.  If there is enough interest, a neighborhood garage sale will be held on Saturday morning, May 10, 2008.  Joan Rust will coordinate.

The Annual Meeting will be Saturday, April 26, 2008, 10 am until noon, at the Sea Isle Fire Station.  President Santangelo is working on the Agenda.  The Board will hold a meeting on Saturday, April 5, 2008, to finalize plans for the Annual Meeting and the Spring Fling.  Three new Board members will be elected at the Annual Meeting.  The search is underway for those willing to appear on the ballot.  Nominations will also be accepted from the floor. 

A Conflict of Interest Policy will be adopted and all Board of Director members will be required to sign.
